Every year, Scouts BSA and Circle Ten Council offer many opportunities for the youth of the program to receive training. Training opportunities are a great way for Scouts to learn hands on skills for leadership and to become acquainted with position specific skills needed. Training with Scouts BSA doesn't just prepare our youth to be leaders in Scouting but also sets them up to be leaders of the future.

Adult leaders play a significant role in Scouts BSA units. Maintaining leaders who are trained for their positions and in the procedures, policies, rules, and safety measures of the program is essential. In some instances training can be done solely online through my.scouting.org for things like Merit Badge Counselor, Committee Member, Advancement, Youth Protection, etc.; however, some skills and roles require more in-depth and hands on training. Whatever your role is in your unit, there is most definitely some form of training that you should complete in order to help maintain your unit and it's program. We can't let the Scouts have all the fun!
